Archery

Archery

The Archery Field is open to members and their family for use except on Tuesday evenings in the Summer when there is a league. The left field (ten targets) is set up based on the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) and bow weight maximum is 35 pounds. The right field is set up for all other high poundage bows including hunting bows and crossbows. Remember -- NO Broadheads anywhere on the ranges.

Archery League

The Howell Gun Club Archery League provides experienced instructors who coach the young and old alike in the enjoyment of archery. The League is open to all club members, their family, and the public; all levels of experience; and from ages 5 to 85+. Equipment is provided.

Summer League: During the months of June through August, we are outdoors on the NASP qualified field. Class participants are notified of a cancellation due to inclement weather. Sign up starts in early May for the Summer Archery League.

Winter League: During the months of January through March, the Winter Archery League moves indoors to the basement of the Marion Township Hall (2877 W Coon Lake Rd, Howell). Since space is limited, we can only accommodate two groups of 36 shooters per group. Pre-registration is required and starts January 1st.
