Rifle Ranges

The Howell Gun club offers two rifle ranges for members and their guests:

100 YD Range

  • 12 covered shooting stations.
  • Dedicated 25-yard sight-in station.
  • Paper targets only.

500 YD Range

  • 8 shooting stations
  • Targets available at 100, 200, 300, and 500 yards.
  • Members must demonstrate proficiency and pass a live-fire test before using this range.
  • Additional training is required for use of the electronic target system.
  • Steel, paper, and electronic targets permitted.

    Range Use and Guest Policy

    • There is no additional fee for members to use eith range.
    • Members may bring up to three guests (LMFD's) on the 100-yard range.
    • On the 500-yard range, only one guest or spectator is permitted.
    • Guest (LMFD) fee: $5.00 per day (covers all outdoor ranges)

General Rules

  • All members, LMFD's, and spectators must sign in and out on the sheets provided at each range.
  • If others are waiting, please limit shooting time to 45 minutes.
  • Range hours: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
